Why "The Catholic Faith" Magazine?

The Catholic Faith magazine is the response to a request by His Eminence José T. Cardinal Sánchez, Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy. The purpose of this magazine is to provide the faithful in English-speaking countries with an ongoing guide for the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Our Holy Father sees the Catechism as a special gift from the Holy Spirit for preserving and understanding the revealed Word of God in the modern world.

The Catechism has already received widespread distribution. By now millions have been reading the Catechism. But this is only the beginning. The truths of Christian faith and morality presented in the Catechism call for continuing explanation and implementation of the Church’s proclamation of the Gospel in our day. The Catholic Faith magazine hopes to fulfill this indispensable need. As Mother Teresa explains in these pages, there is no higher charity that we can practice towards others than to share with them something of the riches of God’s revealed truth that we Catholics have received from Our Lord.

With God’s grace, The Catholic Faith magazine will provide an effective means of communication among English-speaking Catholics throughout the world. We ask for your continued prayers and exchange of ideas to insure God’s blessings on this apostolic enterprise.
